Progressive Measures

The purpose of the Progressive Measures newsletter is to share information and expertise about student learning outcomes and program evaluation evaluation research projects. Progressive Measures also includes tips, best practice ideas, interviews with subject-matter experts, and notes from the field.

ISU faculty and staff are encouraged to share their learning outcomes and program evaluation projects in Progressive Measures. If you would like to contribute to Progressive Measures, please contact Ryan Smith in University Assessment Services at rlsmith@IllinoisState.edu or (309) 438-2163.

Past Issues & Archives

Progressive Measures has its roots in the Measurement & Evaluation Service newsletter, first published in Fall 1979. This newsletter was published through the 1990's until it was replaced by the University Assessment Office Newsletter and then Assessment Affects in 2000. The first issue of Progressive Measures was released in Fall 2005. Past issues were published in a paper format and saved as pdfs for online viewing. In 2017, Progressive Measures moved to an online, more interactive format.
