University Assessment Services' (UAS) staff works exclusively in the area of student learning outcomes assessment. In addition to conducting institution-wide projects at multiple points of students’ academic and co-curricular experiences, the staff is available as consultants and co-researchers on class, department/school, and unit assessment projects. University Assessment Services also functions as a central location where assessment-related information can be found. 

Assessment is and shall continue to be a high priority for Illinois State University. The institution is committed to valuing, supporting, and rewarding assessment-related activities that are led by the complementary and collaborative efforts of its faculty, staff, and students.  We encourage you to use this website as a primary source to ascertain information and assistance as we better understand the students who attend Illinois State University and help to ensure that we are meeting the student learning outcomes that have been established by programs, department/school, and other student and academic related units on campus.

The UAS staff has developed an online tutorial for creating an assessment plan. The tutorial guides users through the creation of an assessment plan for program-level assessment using the assessment plan worksheet and several ISU examples.
